With six years of service totaling over 2,500 hours, our East Jefferson General Hospital Volunteer of the Month for December is Joseph Mikes, a dedicated member of the Domino 2 and Ground Link departments.

Mikes splits his time between the two departments, working at the hospital every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday since 2011. Always friendly and outgoing, Mikes has proved to be a perfect fit at the hospital’s information desk, where he provides excellent customer service.

A member of the Volunteer Advisory Committee, Mikes has been instrumental in the planning and execution of events for his fellow volunteers.

Mikes is just one of our many volunteers who help make East Jefferson General Hospital a better place for Team Members, physicians and the community!
