Outpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy

Nutrition intervention is a key component in the treatment of many chronic diseases. Our experienced outpatient team of licensed and registered Dietitians provides individualized nutrition plans to assist patients in controlling disease symptoms and improving overall health. The Outpatient Nutrition Services Team has expertise in the following areas:

  • Weight Management
  • Gestational Diabetes
  • Hyperlipidemias
  • Celiac Disease
  • Gastrointestinal Disorders

Our professional staff has acquired many specialty certifications, including Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), Certified Lifestyle Counselor (CLS), Certified Personal Trainer.

Payment Options

Many insurance companies will cover all or part of outpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy for disease management, including Medicare Part B (Medicare coverage limited to diabetes and kidney disease).

A physician referral is required for Medical Nutrition Therapy. We can assist you in obtaining a referral, if necessary.

Fees are $92 for a one-hour consultation and $46 for a half-hour consultation. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Inpatient Nutrition Care

Our highly qualified licensed and registered Dietitians provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art nutrition care to hospital patients with special nutrition needs and those requiring specialized nutrition support. The following services are available based on individual patient need and in consultation with physicians:

  • Nutrition Assessment and Reassessment
  • Nutrition Consultation on Physician Request
  • Basic Nutrition Education Prior to Discharge
  • Post-Discharge Nutrition Care Follow-Up and Counseling
