News 11 EJGH Nurses Achieve Great 100 Honors

Congratulations to all 11 of East Jefferson General Hospital’s outstanding nurses who have earned 2016 “Great 100” honors in the state of Louisiana by the Great 100 Nurses Foundation.

The group, now in its 30th year of existence, was founded in New Orleans and honors nurses across the state by selecting the top 100 based on their concern for humanity, contributions to the profession and mentoring of others.
 

This year’s EJGH Great 100 nurses are:

  • Wendy Bennett – 2 East
  • Loren Decoteau – 3 East
  • Karina Estrada – ICU
  • Kristen Gonzalez – 3 East
  • Sharon Leshe – 3 East
  • Nute Meeker – ICU
  • Erin Sims – Labor & Delivery
  • Misty St. Pierre – Emergency Department
  • Michelle Verdin – ICU
  • Chloe’ Villavaso – Quality Management

Honorees, their families and the nursing community are invited to attend the 30th Great 100 Nurses Celebration on Oct. 12 at the Pontchartrain Center to enjoy great music and delicious food generously donated by New Orleans’ finest restaurants.
